Links to Web Sites of Association Members
This page was inspired when a member of the Association sent an email asking if he
could put a link from his pages to the Association Web Site. Mervyn Axson found it fascinating
to sit at his desk in England and look at an 0-16.5 Narrow Gauge railway in Japan. So the
idea of a page linking to members web sites was born.
A number of sites on the Links and Members pages are not in English but you can
translate most major languages to or from English at
The Babelfish. It's a machine translation so can be a
bit idiosyncratic at times but widens the availability of information to Association
members.
- Noburo Koizumi (1719) in Japan -
about many narrow gauge subjects including his Nigorigo (Muddy River) Tramway. Many of you
will have seen his article in the May/June 1997 Narrow Gauge & Short Line Gazette on
modelling in styrene sheet using computer drawn templates.
- Brian Rumary (0068)
in England - in addition to being one of our members, Brian has long been associated
with the Industrial Railway Society and his website is mainly about industrial railways in
Germany & Austria.
- Steve Thomason (0722)
in England
- Steve says "The objective of these pages is to highlight industrial narrow gauge
railways throughout Europe which are still in use in the 1990's, or in use for freight
services, in those countries where narrow gauge is still a common carrier."
- Anders Östlund (1747) in
Sweden
- To quote Anders' own words "Welcome to my page for the narrow minded. These pages
are dedicated to railways in general but narrow gauge ones are primary. I have focused on
Swedish 60cm gauge (of course), but if I find any thing else of interest I will of course
add this."
- Andrew Bantock (2054)
in England
- A joint Anglo-US venture,
Andrew having joined with Ray Lantz to create it. The authors describe it as
"The Finescale 1/32 Narrow Gauge Railway Modelling Site" and say "It was
the 7mm NGA's website that guided Andy to Ray's own site which led them to
an electronic penfriendship which led to this"
- Fabrice Fayolle (2136) in
France - Making N Scale and O Scale Narrow Gauge models. The web site is only in
French.
- Guillaume Veenhuis (1759) in
Holland - The Watkijk/HSS layout featured in Narrow Lines
- Trevor Foster (1304)
in England - The Clairmont railway is featured in our picture gallery.
- Alan
Rogers (1950) in England - The continuing saga of a fictitious narrow
gauge railway.
- Dave
Balcombe (2518) in England - Teetering by the Well, a humorous and
well-built light railway and estate railway in two gauges.
Will any member with a web site devoted to their narrow gauge interests please send an
email to me giving its address so that I may add it to
this page.
